What I love about my job...
Being an educator carries with it an enormous responsibility to continually seek optimal efficiency in understanding of how kids learn and retain, and how a teacher can encourage continued personal academic growth & leadership. I love that education is not teach, take a test, and move onto an unconnected topic, instead, it is developing deep understanding, constructing personal meaning, and being able to use what is taught and to make sense of unfamiliar concepts as they encounter them.

My interests and hobbies...
Because I’m a teacher, I get to also coach basketball, and advise extra-curricular groups like Student Council, Junior High Knowledge Bowl, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. My spare time is spent with my kiddos, but I also love staying up-to-date on Current Events and like to enjoy nature’s offerings.
